Product Description

one-plus-8t-review

The OnePlus 8T features an aluminum frame with a glossy glass back which is quite different in design as compared to the OnePlus 8. The side panels of the display are not curved, making the front look fade away. With content at the edges of the display, it gets more convenient to interact.

Additionally, the vignetting effect is also missing which was generally seen on curved-edge displays. The OnePlus 8T weighs 188g and has a thickness of 8.4mm whereas the Oneplus 8 weighs slightly less that is 8mm. This might be a disadvantage or an advantage.

The smartphone’s Aquamarine Green colorway looks exceptionally appealing, and even though it has a glossy finish, fingerprints are not an issue here. It also comes in a Lunar Silver colorway which has an aesthetic matte-frosted finish.

The camera module of the smartphone has been shifted to the left, unlike other models that have it in the middle. It also has rounded corners to match the soft vibe look of the phone.

The segment is quite oversaturated already. With OnePlus 8T will be cheaper than the Pro models and comparatively just as advanced. It is the first-ever smartphone to come with the OxygenOS 11 that will be based on Android 11 out of the box. Even though many other recent OnePlus phones get updates, but this is the first title that will be claimed only by the 8T.

The OxygenOS 11 might be the biggest UI overhaul in the status of the OS software. This version not only leaves behind the previous versions of the OS in the category of design, but the company also ensures that no-one will ever title this as “stock Android”.

Oxygen OS  also entertains dual instances of several supported apps in its Parallel Apps feature. One can always use it to handle a second account on Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, WeChat, or any other app that does not support multiple logins.

The OnePlus 8T is also delivered with its expected statement packaging and accessories that include a silicone bumper case, a Type-C cable, a fast charger, and stickers.

Final Verdict

Check out this video above for more details on One Plus 8T review.

The OnePlus 8T has enough worthiness to be a part of the iconic T category. The new and impressive 65W Warp Charging and the new 120Hz screen will surely catch a lot of attention. The Fluid AMOLED is definitely likable, just how the new Oxygen 11 is truly a feast for gaming geeks. Its smooth and fast performance is surely impactful and the design, gorgeous!

Apart from all this, pretty much the rest is statement OnePlus 8 material like the same chipset, speakers, fingerprint scanner, camera. Even with the minor updates such as the camera is not really very unique or different from other recent premium mid-rangers. Even though there are some noticeable improvements, but the quality has not improved much after Series 7 of OnePlus.

The only major issue is this smartphone forces a 60fps cap on most of the games, video players, and services. This might be a turn-off for some but it surely might be done for performance, or heat protection, or battery saving. You can also look out for OnePlus Nord for a better budget option.

However, there is no doubt that The OnePlus 8T will be a smart choice. The affordable and advanced smartphone is a premium mid-ranger at an attractive price that will be offering a perfect combination of its flagship features like the screen, the SoC, and most importantly, the charging.

The camera might not be very impressive, but, at least it is not disappointing. The only people who might not find this T series that appealing might be the already existing OnePlus 8 Pro users who know OnePlus can do better. We hope that this One Plus 8T review guide will help you in making your choices even better while planning your next smartphone.
